Maud Willemen

participation / process management
Maud trained as an architect and urban planner. She completed the European Master’s in Urban Studies “4 Cities” to broaden her perspective on the context in which urban design takes place. She has worked at various firms and in various roles: as a designer of public spaces (Suède 36), a social designer of leisure areas (Studio Surplus), and as a project manager for a strategic project and urban green space at Regionaal Landschap Rivierenland. Drawing on this broad practical experience, she helps governments and organizations shape transitions with a strong focus on collaboration.
Maud enjoys working at the intersection of place, people, and policy. She strongly believes in the importance of well-informed and broadly supported decisions that have an impact across years and even generations. In her work, she recognizes the importance of engaging in dialogue, encouraging collaboration, and paying attention to the process of urban projects. Thanks to her experience in various roles, she can approach these projects from different perspectives and connect across scales, interests, and disciplines.
