Niels graduated in international business at the Karel de Grote University College in Antwerp, but his passion for photography led him to the field of communications. He started his career in community management for various mission-driven organizations such as the Masawa investment fund and the non-profit organization One Resilient Earth. He subsequently studied regenerative development at the Regenesis Institute and systems change at the Forum for the Future. Today, he helps impact-driven projects to tell their stories and grow their audiences with care and integrity.




Niels combines visual storytelling, writing, and social media strategy to help develop the potential of places. Everything he does starts from the vision to co-create the necessary social and cultural infrastructure for regeneration. He also co-founded re:storied, a community learning platform for communicators of the regenerative era. Finally, Niels is an award-winning photographer and collage artist investigating diverse topics such as health and wellbeing, human-earth connection and ecophilosophy.
