Melina Gorrebeeck

building management / neuroarchitecture / participation

Melina studied sociology at the University of Antwerp and first worked in the social sector for a long time. Afterwards, she switched to real estate and built up a lot of experience as an operational manager of buildings and coworking spaces. Working with and for people is still the common thread in everything she does. Her interest in how we can design buildings and neighborhoods in which people feel good and function optimally led her to the master in neuroarchitecture at the Università luav di Venezia. She recently also started the master in real estate at the Antwerp Management School.

Melina combines knowledge from psychology and neuroscience in various real estate-related projects. In combination with a practical operational perspective, she supports design teams in the efficient design of spaces for, for example, relaxation, creativity or focus. In participation processes and as a mediator in real estate projects, she always looks for a valuable win-win instead of a soulless compromise. Finally, she also likes to offer support in the operational management of buildings, in particular offices and coworking spaces.
