mobility
Patrick studied geography and urban planning. He worked for more than 20 years at the consultancy firm SumProject+SumResearch (originally Groep Planning) as a project team member, project leader and partner. He is an accredited urban planner and environmental (MER) expert for the disciplines landscape and people (subdomain mobility and spatial aspects) in Flanders and was also active as an external sustainable mobility quality advisor for the Flemish Government. With extensive experience in both mobility challenges and urban planning initiatives, he offers practical support to local authorities and interdisciplinary project teams.
Patrick enjoys making mobility visions concrete and feasible. He is convinced that mobility plans, if they are well-founded and effectively followed up, can provide leverage for a transition to better mobility solutions. In addition, he likes to contribute to mobility impact reports or other traffic studies in order to gain critical insights for complex projects. Finally, he has also been appointed as an external quality assurance expert for urban plans and projects at the Flemish Government.
