Eva Peeters

communications / culture / participation

After studying languages at Ghent University, Eva ended up in the arts sector, where she quickly immersed herself in cultural-artistic perspectives on social challenges as a communications officer. Over the past 15 years, within and from the cultural sector, she has built up experience in broad, applied sustainability in organizations and networks: from infrastructure, energy, mobility and climate adaptation to inclusion, resilience and fair practice. She was also involved in founding the Pulse Transition Network and Greentrack Ghent.

According to Eva, the power of authenticity, connection and poetic imagination are keys to building a balanced living environment. She likes to use language and stories to inspire, exchange, and to make complex concepts lighter while increasing involvement. She also often works as an editor or copywriter and, amongst others, has written a book about sustainability in daily life (Groeten uit Transitië, 2013). In addition, she develops artistic-participatory projects around restoring the connection with yourself, with each other and with nature as part of the  Sídhe collective.
