Ruben graduated as an engineer in environmental technology and subsequently built up a lot of technical knowledge of production processes in companies. By working in product development, feasibility studies, energy audits and sustainability processes, he has grown into a carbon expert familiar with various industries, both in Europe and beyond. He also gained experience in the public sector by working for the Flemish Energy Company (VEB).

As a carbon expert, Ruben knows how to quantify the CO2 footprint of companies, products, services or projects. By identifying the negative impact of activities, the right objectives can be defined to make a real difference. When proposing concrete reduction measures, he also likes to link with CSRD, the CO2 Performance Ladder, circular principles and ESG.
