Pieter Jan is a fire safety expert with over 10 years of experience in both active and passive fire protection and in-depth knowledge of both Belgian fire regulations (KBs) and international standards such as NFPA and FM Global. He combines technical knowledge with practical project experience in various sectors and typologies (including industry, logistics, healthcare, offices, public buildings, and high-rise buildings) to inspect sites and design, evaluate, and implement fire safety solutions in complex construction projects.

Pieter Jan applies integrated safety thinking to analyze fire risks, dimension technical systems (including sprinklers, detectors, smoke and heat extraction, and compartmentalization), and tailor solutions to both regulations and the project context. With his extensive experience in 3D modeling, hydraulic calculations, technical specifications, justification reports, specifications, and bill of quantities, he is happy to support project managers in both the design and implementation phases.
