Sarah’s professional journey spans over 15 years and multiple continents, from collaborating with the UNESCO Sustainable Tourism Programme and NGOs in Morocco and Italy, to serving her local community in Wisconsin as a city alderperson and heritage preservation commission chairman. She is a skilled program planner and manager, adept at policy development, auditing and benchmarking. Bridging her passion for sustainability with a drive for positive change, she has dedicated her work and research to participatory practices for urban transformation and sustainable development.
With an approach rooted in cross-cultural understanding and collaborative spirit, Sarah believes people’s voices are the key to designing and executing successful projects. Whether navigating complex policy landscapes or crafting compelling sustainability narratives, she strives to empower individuals, governments, and organizations to create a positive impact for their communities and our planet. Currently, she is also a PhD Fellow in Urban and Regional Development at the Politecnico di Torino in Italy.
